Kendriya Vidyalaya Port Trust came into existence in 1975. In 1993 the school was shifted to the new building in Willington island, In our school one can find a miniature India in each and every class room. Here we come to realize the strength and vitality of our great Indian culture. We have classes from I-XII with Science and Commerce streams & Informatics Practices at the +2 level. Our first batch of class X passed out in the year1984, and XII in 1988, We follow the CBSE syllabus and have student strength of more than 1837 and staff strength of 67. The Vidyalaya has 4 divisions up to class X and 3 divisions at plus two level ( two in Science and one in Commerce stream) It is a matter of pride that this Vidyalaya has been selected as “ MODEL SCHOOL” by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. As a result, special fund are sanctioned and special privileges like Junior science lab, Computer Education from class III onwards, improved infrastructural facilities for sports and games etc. are available which make the school go long way.
